Rietumu Bank’s Charity Fund received a letter of appreciation from Pauls Stradins Clinical University Hospital for the support provided in the struggle against the spread of Covid-19 and the elimination of the consequences of this disease.
As the cover letter states, this spring was not easy for doctors and other employees of one of the leading hospitals in Latvia.
Numerous tests for coronavirus, including those carried out in tents, special personal protective uniform and long-term shifts to accept patients – all these have become a new daily norm throughout a period of several months. The entire personnel of the hospital – from nurses to doctors and professors – were fighting selflessly with a completely new infection, the nature of the development of which could not be predicted initially.
The hospital expresses its heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has provided material and moral support to both its staff and patients during this period.
Let us remind you that Rietumu Bank’s Charity Fund acquired two universal lung ventilators for Pauls Stradins Clinical University Hospital recently. The new devices are suitable for both adults and children, can be connected to the oxygen supply network available in the hospital, and used for invasive and non-invasive ventilation.
