The Ombudsman of the Finance Latvia Association reviews the complaints of the clients about the financial institutions registered in the Republic of Latvia regarding their actions and provided services.
The Ombudsman is a neutral mediator and independent in the adoption of his or her decisions. The Ombudsman serves to establish circumstances and to reach an agreement between the customer and the bank.
From 18.05.2018 the Ombudsman reviews not only disagreements relating to consumers, but also those relating to clients-corporate entities.
The procedure for drafting and submission of complaints, and the deadline for reviewing the complaints is specified in the Regulation, which is available on the website of the Ombudsman of the Finance Latvia Association https://www.financelatvia.eu/ombuds/.
