On Saturday, March 18, a Charity auction in support of Ukraine, organized by the ArtEmbassy auction house in cooperation with Rietumu Bank, will be held.
The auction will feature valuable works of art donated by their authors themselves, as well as artworks that were provided by private owners and collectors. All funds raised at this auction will be donated to support the people and the army of Ukraine.
The auction will offer high-value artworks at symbolic starting prices, giving buyers the opportunity to determine the final price of the artworks themselves during the bidding process, and thus also the amount of the donation.
Head of ArtEmbassy Aigars Grinbergs notes: “We regularly hold auctions, but this one is special. All of the artworks, including paintings and graphics created by Latvian artists, were provided free of charge, and some of them are real masterpieces. We set ourselves a task to attract widest circles of art lovers to participate in the auction, all those who wish to help the people of Ukraine”,
The auction will take place on March 18 in person and online – on website artembassy.lv, as well as by phone; start at 12.00.
At present, a pre-auction exhibition is taking place in the gallery of Rietumu Bank (Riga, Vesetas street 7).
On 17 February, Latvia's state television will broadcasted a live awards ceremony for the winners of the prestigious "Kilogram of Culture" competition, which is held for several years now with the support of Rietumu Bank charity fund “Nākotnes Atbalsta fonds” (Future Supporting Fund).
