Changes in the exchange of hryvni to euro

In view of the proposal by the National Bank of Ukraine, the cash exchange of Ukrainian hryvni (UAH) to euro (EUR) at the official exchange rate set by the National Bank of Ukraine will be ceased in Latvia after 9 December 2022.

Until 9 December (including) Ukrainian refugees who are registered in Latvia can exchange cash hryvnia to euro in Rietumu Bank headquarters according to the exchange rate established by the National Bank of Ukraine, with no commission fee.

Only banknotes with the following face value can be exchanged: UAH 100, 200, 500 and 1000; damaged banknotes will not be exchanged. The maximum amount that can be exchanged by one Ukrainian citizen with refugee status in Latvia is UAH 10 000.

Starting from 10 December Rietumu Bank ends cash exchange of hryvnia to euro.
